Large caravan covered in snow foam during an exterior paint restoration wash in Brisbane

Brisbane RV & Motorhome Paint Restoration Specialists

Restore the finish.
Protect the adventure.

Faded gelcoat. Heavy oxidation. Old decals. Ghosting. Road grime. Years of Queensland sun.

Your caravan or motorhome doesn't necessarily need repainting. It may just need the right restoration.

Pitts Automotive Studio specialises in RV and motorhome exterior paint restoration, professional cut & polish, decal removal, oxidation correction and ceramic protection across Brisbane and surrounding areas.

The Queensland Problem

Your caravan has been through a lot.

Queensland's sun is brutal on RV exteriors.

Over time, UV exposure, weather, road grime, tree sap, contamination and old decals can leave a caravan looking faded, chalky and tired.

A normal wash won't fix it. A quick machine polish won't always fix it either.

That's where proper RV paint restoration comes in.

At Pitts, we assess the condition of the exterior, determine what can realistically be restored, then use the appropriate correction process to bring the finish back.

The Result?

A caravan or motorhome that looks cared for again.

Ceramic Protection

Protect the restored finish and make future maintenance easier.

RV Cut & Polish

Bring back the gloss.

Professional machine polishing for caravans, motorhomes and RVs suffering from dullness, fading, light oxidation and surface defects.

Every RV is different, so we quote according to size and condition rather than pretending every vehicle needs the same process.

Oxidation & Gelcoat Restoration

When polishing isn't enough.

Heavy oxidation can leave a caravan exterior chalky, faded and lifeless.

Our restoration process is designed to remove or significantly reduce oxidation and restore as much gloss and clarity as the surface safely allows.

Decal Removal & Ghosting

Remove the old. Restore what's left behind.

Old caravan decals can leave behind adhesive, staining and a visible outline long after the graphics themselves are gone.

We combine careful decal removal with machine correction to reduce adhesive residue and decal ghosting wherever the underlying surface allows.

Ceramic Coating

Restore it. Then protect it.

Ceramic coating is only as good as the surface underneath it. That's why our coating process begins with proper preparation and paint or gelcoat correction.

Once applied, ceramic protection can provide enhanced hydrophobic behaviour, easier maintenance and long-term protection against everyday environmental contamination.

Why Choose Pitts?

We specialise in RV exteriors.

Your caravan isn't a giant car.

The materials, surface area, gelcoat, decals, roof systems and level of UV exposure all create different restoration challenges.

That's why we don't treat every RV like a standard detailing job.

Restoration First

We focus on bringing the existing exterior back rather than simply making it shiny for a few weeks.

Honest Assessment

Not every scratch or stain can safely be removed. We'll tell you what's realistically achievable.

Proper Preparation

The better the preparation, the better the final finish and protection.

No One-Size-Fits-All

Your quote is based on the size, condition and required restoration process.

From Faded to Finished

See the difference.

Every paint restoration tells a story.

Old decals removed. Oxidation corrected.

Gloss restored. The finish protected.

Common Questions

Straight answers.

Can you remove all caravan oxidation?+

Not always. The achievable result depends on the condition and remaining thickness of the surface. We'll inspect the RV and explain what can realistically be achieved before work begins.

Can you remove old caravan decals?+

Yes. We can remove old decals and adhesive residue, then work on reducing the visible ghosting left behind.

Can you remove decal ghosting completely?+

Sometimes. It depends on how long the decal has been on the vehicle and how much the surrounding surface has weathered. Some ghosting is permanent and can only be reduced.

How long does a caravan cut & polish take?+

A quality restoration can take a full working day or more depending on the RV's size, condition and required correction.

Is ceramic coating worth it on an older caravan?+

It can be, provided the underlying surface is suitable. We recommend restoring the exterior first rather than coating heavily oxidised or contaminated surfaces.

Do you work on motorhomes?+

Yes. Pitts specialises in caravans, motorhomes and other RVs.

Do you service fleets?+

Our focus is private RV owners and restoration work rather than high-volume fleet production.
